Attorney Riccio’s client, a nurse, received a Notice of Complaint from the Board of Registration in Nursing (BORIN) after false allegations of impaired practice were made. Attorney Riccio was able to prove the allegations were false by establishing the reporting party’s motive to lie. The Nursing Board quickly dismissed the Complaint.
